Routes of Exile: a day to remember! The Exile Memorial Museum presents the seventh edition of the Routes of Exile. A series of trips to different places linked to the exile of 1939, designed for individual users or small groups: friends, family, couples...
WHEN AND WHERE?
- SATURDAY 12 APRIL : A poet in exile, Colliure - Antonio Machado and Argelers.
- MEETING POINT: Hotel Lido de Argelès.
Please note:
- The scheduled time of activities is half a day (10am to 2pm).
- Prior registration is required (Entrapolis MUME Platform) and the activity is subject to a minimum number of registrants. In the event of having to cancel the activity, the amount paid will be refunded by the same means.
- Travel is done using the participant's own transportation and lunch is NOT included.
PRICES:
- Adults: €12.
- Youth aged 12 to 17: €8.
- Free for children up to 11 years old.

We will visit the beach of Argelès, a place that once welcomed thousands of refugees and we will talk about the conditions of the camps and the consequences of internment. Then we will travel to Collioure, to follow the last steps of the poet Antonio Machado, who spent his last weeks in Collioure. We will also visit his grave, a space that today has become an emblematic place of memory and remembrance.

- Saturday 7 June: Culture in exile: the Catalan Cultural Exile Interpretation Centre, exile memorial spaces in the town of Agullana and the Can Palau bunker.
- Saturday 5th July: Paths of exile: monuments of Vajol, Mina Canta and Coll de Manrella.
- Saturday 6 September: Argelès Camp Memorial and Elna Maternity Hospital.
- Saturday 11th October: Fleeing on foot: climb to Coll de Lli.
- Saturday, November 1: Maquis Route (1): San Iscle de Colltort (Sant Feliu de Pallerols, Garrotxa).
