Small stories, great women at the Barcelona Maritime Museum
From March 1 to 23, discover fascinating stories in 7 Catalan museums.
If you like being told stories, this is the one for you. Seven Catalan museums invite you to the cycle "Small stories, great women", where you can discover the lives of important women in culture, science, sport and the arts through a dramatized narration.
In this edition, the Museu Marítim de Barcelona presents Andrea Comaposada, a biologist who devotes all her efforts to the dissemination of knowledge about the marine environment through educational and sociocultural leisure activities. She runs Anèl·lides, an organisation specialising in supporting children, young people and families in their contact and relationship with the ecosystems of our coast.
His story is a magnificent example of innovation and entrepreneurship, using educational leisure techniques and sociocultural dynamization to develop his passion and contribute to the community.

Sunday, March 2 at 12 noon - Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona.
Blanca Martí is a scientific illustrator and naturalist by vocation. Following her passion, she combines what she likes most: animals and drawing. She has made posters for natural parks, books, naturalist and scientific associations, and her drawings can be found from Costa Rica to Senegal.
Sunday, March 9 at 12 noon - Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya.
The Lady of the Mountains is -as far as we know- the first "Catalan" with power within her community. She lived more than 3,500 years ago and was found by hikers in Coll de Nargó. Her story, full of mysteries yet to be discovered, shows that patriarchy is not a system established naturally by physiological differences and that it has not always been in force.
Saturday, March 15 at 5 p.m. - Museu d'Història de Catalunya.
Antonia La Singla was a deaf dancer from birth who revolutionized the world of flamenco at just 17 years old. It is the story of a young woman who had everything against her and became the number one in flamenco.
Sunday, March 16 at 12 noon - Museus d'Esplugues del Llobregat.
Anne Laure Cano is a French ceramist who has been living in Barcelona since 2019 and has had a great national and international reputation. Until May 2025, part of her work can be visited at the exhibition "Translate. L'ofici ceramista" at the Museus d'Esplugues.
Saturday, March 22 at 5 p.m. - Olympic and Sports Museum.
Fiona Pinar Batalla is a young athlete who set out to achieve great sporting challenges after suffering a serious accident in which she lost a leg. We will learn about a story of overcoming and normalization and we will learn that sport can be a medicine.
Sunday, March 23 at 12 noon - Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya.
Teresa Lanceta Aragonés is an artist who works with textiles, painting, video and writing. Among other things, she has researched popular textile art in Morocco, women's work in the tobacco industry and the 15th century Spanish carpet.

Activity co-organised by the Barcelona Maritime Museum, the Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia, the Museums of Esplugues de Llobregat, the Museum of History of Catalonia, the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona, the Olympic and Sports Museum and the National Museum of Catalonia (MNAC).
