Discover marine invasive species with your family

We invite you to discover the exhibition “Invasive marine species, the silent threat”.

Throughout the exhibition, we invite you to immerse yourself in the Mediterranean Sea and learn about some of the invasive species that inhabit our sea through various activities:

Giant puzzle: This game will allow you to discover what puffer fish, lion fish, blue crab and an algae called Caulerpa cylindracea look like, among others. Pay attention to their shape and colours. If you ever see them in the sea, you can report their presence by calling 112.

Algae lab: which is which? There are invasive algae that look like native algae. Can you tell them apart? With the clues you'll find and the help of a magnifying glass, you'll put yourself in the shoes of the scientists who study them.

Interactive games: games to test everything you have learned during your visit to the exhibition. You will find a memory game and Laia's questions, among others.

Reading space: lots of stories await you with many other curiosities and marine species from the seas and oceans.

  • Free activity.
  • Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Place: Maritime Museum of Barcelona - El Mirador.

Don't think twice, come and immerse yourself in the Mediterranean!
