Guided tour: Insubordinate Views. Thinking about sexual diversity and desire
Sunday 22nd September and 20th October 2024 at 11:30 am, guided tours based on gender!
Through a selection of works, a descriptive, non-formalist and non-historicist reading will be carried out. Some of the concepts, themes and iconographies linked to queer art will be extracted: evoking the experience of Calvary from the experiences linked to AIDS/HIV; checking the identifications of intersexual people with the iconography of angels; tracing when and why Saint Sebastian became a gay icon and vindicating works and artists who have broken the stereotypes of gender.
