Mas Blanch i Jové La Pobla de Cérvoles
Mas Blanch i Jové is a winery belonging to the DO Costers del Segre, in the Les Garrigues sub-area. Our vineyards are located on the western border of Priorat, in a mountain area, more than 700 meters above sea level. The fact of being mountain viticulture, added to the peculiarity of the soil of the farms, very stony, the low rainfall, the high insolation and the important thermal jump between day and night allow that, after a constant and meticulous work in the vineyards, you get a product of exceptional quality.
We made some 55,000 bottles from grapes from our organic vineyards, harvested manually at their optimum ripeness point with 20kg boxes and with a production per Ha that is between 3,500 and 4,500kg maximum. 100% of the energy we use to make our wines in the winery is solar (from the 120 solar panels and 48 batteries that we recently installed).
We started the project for the love of the land (we come from generations and generations of farmers) and we had the support of our friend Josep Guinovart who helped us with the design of the winery and conceived the unique Vineyard of Artists that became a reality in 2009 with the inauguration of the Field Organ of Josep Guinovart.
We offer you a walk through La Viña de los Artistas, where sculptures and artistic installations by artists such as Carles Santos, Susana Solano, Joan Brossa, Frederic Amat, Carlos Pazos, Evru, etc., coexist between vineyards and olive trees, a guided tour of the winery where you can see sculptures suspended with dances of light and shadow by Esteve Casanoves and Josepe Gil and we will explain the elaboration of the wine wrapped by "Between Heaven and Earth" by Gregorio Iglesias. The visit will end with a wine and oil tasting before the "In Vino Veritas" of Guinovart.
