Discover the essential Tarragona with La Teva Ruta

Discover the history of Tarragona with a guided tour that will take you through the Part Alta, the most outstanding monuments of the Roman Tarraco, the Rambla and the Central Market.

We will begin the visit to the Portal del Roser, where we will talk about the Roman origins and the construction of the wall, the oldest outside of Italy. Next, we will see the model that represents Tarraco in its maximum splendor, we will walk through the streets of the Part Alta, the medieval center of the city and, we will arrive at the Cathedral where we will stop to talk about its history.

Next, we will see the remains of the Provincial Forum and we will enter the Roman Circus, where we will see the turns that still support the stands of this magnificent show building today. We will also go up to the Praetorian Tower, from where we will see the city from a bird's eye view. We will continue through the Balcony of the Mediterranean, from where we will contemplate the Roman Amphitheater. There we will talk about the shows that were held and the architectural evolution of the site. In the last part of the route, we will walk along the Rambla Nova, where we will find outstanding modernist buildings and we will end up in the Central Market, also in the modernist style.
