Ascent to Pica d'Estats with 8Treks: Adventure on the roof of Catalonia!

Pica d'Estats (3,143 m) is much more than the highest peak in Catalonia: it's a symbol for any mountain lover. This two-day guided hike by 8Treks takes you to the heart of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, amidst forests, streams, and high-mountain ponds.

On the first day, we'll meet in Àreu at 4 p.m. and climb together to the Vallferrera refuge. The next day, we'll continue to the summit of Pica d'Estats.

This activity requires good physical condition and previous experience in mid- and high-mountain environments. The ascent via the classic route—also known as the Jordi Pujol route—is technically feasible, but demanding due to its elevation and length. Therefore, the support of the 8Treks UIMLA mountain guide is key to ensuring a safe, enriching experience full of learning about the natural and cultural environment.
