Solar Eclipse at the Castell de Lladurs Astronomical Centre
Have you ever seen a solar eclipse with an approved and safe filter?
Do you want to know why they occur and see them with a solar telescope? Do you want to prepare for the total solar eclipse in 2026?
If you want to attend a special event, learn more about our star and observe through a telescope specifically designed for this type of observation, you will love this activity.
On March 29, a partial solar eclipse will occur in our country and it will be the only one we will be able to see in 2025.
- Start time: 9:30am.
- Duration: 2 hours.
We will start the activity in the room explaining details about our Sun and the eclipse. Then, we will climb the tower to admire a unique landscape and follow the evolution of the eclipse. During the event we will observe the Sun through telescopes with two filters:
- A conventional filter for viewing sunspots.
- A Hydrogen Alpha filter for viewing solar prominences and flares.
You will receive a pair of approved eclipse glasses as a gift!
