Fake news: how to combat a plague of lies Video games for debate
Video games allow us to simulate a situation and be an active part of it. We invite you to play the video game Plague Inc. - a plague simulator - as a family and create a network of fake news, designing strategies to spread them and then being able to evaluate as a group which resources have been most effective. The second part of the workshop will be dedicated to combating them, using game materials created especially for the activity and applying what we have learned by playing.
During the activity, there are moments of reflection and debate to share the conclusions we have drawn from the game and put everything in relation to social data, real facts and personal experiences.
Approximate duration of the activity: 2 hours
Activity recommended for ages 14 and up.
